Product Care

LOVE YOUR FEATHERS

Feathers should fluff naturally over time after being unpacked.

~ TO REVIVE SHAPE ~

Use a hand held steamer, steam over a pot of boiling water, or hang in the bathroom during a hot shower.

If feathers are dirty, gently wash in cool water with mild shampoo. Comb gently using a soft toothbrush if necessary.
Towel dry any metal or leather components. Hang the feathers in front of a fan to dry. To achieve maximum fluff, steam the feathers after drying.

If you take care of your feathers properly, they will last for years.

~ TO AVOID DAMAGE ~

Apply hairspray or other hair products before putting on feather jewelry. Avoid feather contact with any oil or cream products.

Store hanging in a jewelry box or out in the open away from pets. Cedar, lavender, clove, or peppermint balls prevent contamination.

If your product is a combination of gems and feathers, cover the gems (you can use your hand) while steaming the feathers.

LOVE YOUR GEMS

Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth.

Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner or a steamer.

Avoid heat and contact with hair spray, perfume, and household chemicals.

LOVE YOUR PEARLS

Monthly wear will keep pearls hydrated.

Put on pearls after applying makeup, perfume, and hairspray.

Avoid contact with chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide, and other chemicals, as these substances will damage the pearl surface (nacre).

Remove pearls before exercising to keep them away from perspiration.

Wipe with soft dry cloth after wearing, and store them in a soft breathable cloth.

~ TO CLEAN ~

Wet a thin mesh rag with a soap and warm water mixture, and carefully wipe the pearls. Be sure to clean the clasp, too.

To avoid getting excess moisture in the drill holes, never immerse your necklace in the soap and water mixture. Do not submerge your pearls in tap water (tap water often contains chemicals).

Dry your pearl necklace with a lint-free cloth. Blow briskly on the drill holes to help dry off any excess moisture. Lay your necklace on a paper towel to help absorb moisture.

Never use a hair dryer or any heat-producing appliance to dry pearls.

If you wear your pearls against your skin, clean it before storing it. Pearls are sensitive to the acids in perspiration.
